Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them

Grab your wand and your suitcase. And unlock the the door (alohomora). Welcome back to the wizarding world.

Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them, came out on the 18th of November. Being busy myself on that weekend, I finally saw it on the 21st November.

I can happily say that this film did not disappoint. Now if you haven’t seen the film, and you don’t want to know the story line, then I would stop reading now..

     Spoilers Spoilers Spoilers

There are three well known actors in this film, Eddie Redmayne, Colin Farrell
and Johnny Depp. However the only actor that is well known that has really been seen is Redmayne. But the other two characters do not disappoint. Although Depp’s character has a very small role, but none the less, a rather important roll.

So let me take you back in time, back to the twenties, precisely 1926. Newt (Eddie Redmayne), is the main character here. Newt goes on an adventure to New York, but within this adventure, Newt and he Beasts get in a bit of trouble.

In this world, muggles aren’t muggles. Muggles are No-Maj. Newt finds himself a No-Maj friend Jacob (Dan Fogler), and together along with Tina (Katherine Waterston) and Queenie (Alison Sudol), who are Witches, together they go on an adventure.

The laws of magic are stronger, but there is a strange ‘thing’ over taking New York, its crashing into houses, moving through the roads. Who you think is doing this, is not.
Magic has returned with power.

All four of them together, embark on an adventure. Which if i’m honest starts with Newt, technically it is his fault, as the creatures he brought with him, escape from his suitcase. But there is one thing positive about these creatures, they are all good creatures.

However there is something which is litterally tareing up New York City, is it No-Maj? is it magical? Is it a wizzard? Or is it part Wizzard, part No-Maj?

Only time will tell when you start to watch the film.

This film is more intense, the spells are out of this world, the beasts are ten times more dynamic. This film is spellbinding.

Of course with any film there are the goodies and the baddies. However you don’t actually learn who the real baddie is, until towards the end.
The spells and new

This film is set back in time, before Harry, Ron & Hermione. But it will still capture you. With the same if not potentially more dangerous magic.

The cast in this film are incredible, and each one of them suit their role. But within this film, there are the people that work behind the screen, creating this work of art. The cinematography by Philippe Rousselot was out of this world.

However the visual effects where out of this world, they where, vivid, colourful, dramatic, they where incredible. Over fifty people worked just in this department.

I wish you heard more about the people behind the screen, because if it weren’t for them, this film wouldn’t be what it is.
I also want to say Hats Off to Jk Rowling. Rowling has done it again, this film is brilliant. I think even if you’ve never seen Harry Potter (thats weird if so though), then you should still see this film. It’s outstanding!

So unlock that door, grab your wand, you are in for a magical ride.
